| On
Thursday night, March 10, Golden State Warriors Captain Stephen Jackson made a
special in-store signing appearance out our Walnut
Creek , CA Gallery.
Stephen
Jackson is Captain (Captain Jack) for the Golden
State Warriors. On January 17, 2007, the Indiana Pacers dealt Jackson to the Golden
State Warriors in a blockbuster eight player trade. And in his first game as a
Warrior, all Jackson did was register 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5
steals. Warrior fans meet Stephen Jackson! Like most modern-day NBA swingman,
Jackson provides a multitude of skills. Jackson's range extends from the basket
to the 3-point line. Additionally, against smaller players, he is often utilized
in the post. In addition, Stephen has proved a reputable playmaking option, with
above-average passing abilities and court vision. And defensively, Jackson is
certainly amongst the better perimeter defenders in the league, due to his long
wingspan, quickness, and court awareness. Golden State Warriors head coach Don
Nelson, the 2nd-winningest coach in NBA history, has this to say about Jackson:
"I don't think people realize how good a player
Stephen is...he guards every night, he makes plays, he can shoot. He makes everyone
around him better." Pretty high praise from one of the NBA's winningest
all-time coaches. |

| Signing
for everyone in the large crowd, Stephen entered and exited the Gallery to applause,
with lots of smiles and laughing in between. A terrific signing guest, Stephen
chatted with fans, posed for photos and signed anything and everything brought
to the Gallery...even Warriors sweat jackets WORN to the signing. Obviously a
great basketball player, Stephen is also a very nice guy and excellent signing
guest. |
