Rookie Running Back Sensation
|
| |
|
| On
Friday, November 11, 49ers Rookie Running Back
Sensation Kendall Hunter made his first Bay Area
signing appearance at Sports Gallery Palo Alto. |

|
| Rookie
RB Kendall Hunter is looking like the real deal.
Chosen with the 115th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft
out of Oklahoma St. he is the Cowboys' fourth
all-time leading rusher and their first All-America
running back since Gerald Hudson in 1990. A native
of Tyler, Texas, Hunter was the nation's seventh
leading rusher with 119.6 yards per game, including
nine 100-yard rushing games, in 2008. He led the
Big 12 in rushing by more than 30 yards per game.
He was named a First Team All-American in his
sophomore campaign and again in 2010, his senior
year. Also in Hunter's senior season he was a
finalist for the Doak Walker award. On the 49ers,
he won the #2 Back behind Frank Gore, seeing good
action each week. And making the most of that
action with his lightening speed and ability to
find the holes. Obviously Jim Harbaugh is a fan,
using Kendall more and more each game (and even
starting him week 4 against the Eagles when Gore
went down with an injury). Watch out for Kendall
and the 49ers! First Place!! |

Signing
for over an hour, it is clear Kendall is already
popular with 49er fans. And why not? He's looked
REALLY good when given the ball. A very cool guy
that has a good chance of going being the Niners
next great running back. |
