Do you believe in miracles? They called it a miracle and, for once, it really was - not the typical sports hyperbole. The U.S. Olympic hockey team, thrashed by the Russians 10-3 in an exhibition game days before the 1980 Games began, somehow found a way to beat powerhouse Russia, and then Finland, to win the most unlikely gold medal in US Olympic history. Remember one of the greatest sports moments in the 20th century, and arguably the greatest US sports moment ever, with this Limited Edition photograph autographed by this remarkable team.

 

In honor of the new Disney motion picture "Miracle" based on this unforgettable team and moment in sports history, Sports Gallery is raffling a Limited Edition 16x20 Photograph of the Miracle on Ice, hand-signed by the team (pictured above). The winning raffle ticket will be chosen at random and announced at Noon (PT) Saturday, February 7th 2004 at our Palo Alto Store (318 University Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94301). Web raffle ticket purchases will be accepted until 11:00 am, Saturday, February 7th. The winner need not be present to win. The winner will be posted this on website immediately following the drawing. We will also contact the winner via phone and/or e-mail to claim the prize. Photograph will ship within 2 business days of contact with winner, or can be picked up at the Palo Alto location. Prize is a framed 1980 US Hockey Team-Autographed 16x20 photograph with a recent market value of $950. The Odds of winning is dependent on the number of entries but estimated at 1 in 100.
