For a full century, golf has been played on Baltusrol's fabled fairways. Beginning with nine rudimentary holes, this legendary golf course in Springfield, NJ was soon transformed into a respected 18-hole championship layout, and then doubled once more to become the two world-renowned golf courses that exist today, the Upper and Lower. The host of 15 USGA National Championships, including 7 U.S. Opens, this thoughtfully designed, old-fashioned course was originally built on land once farmed by a gentleman named Baltus Roll, hence it's unusual name. This panoramic celebrates the 1993 U.S. Open Championship, where Lee Janzen and the late Payne Stewart staged a memorable battle, Janzen eventually sealing a victory with a birdie on eighteen. A classic panoramic of a classic golf course.

Time standing still. A place where the feel for the past transcends time and space, transporting wonderfully bewildered visitors back to grandest days of yesteryear. Such is the feeling members (and their guests) get every time they set foot onto the grounds at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. The club was founded in the early 1920's by the 'who's who' of Washington DC's political elite. Though the club offers a wide range of activities and social functions, there's little disagreement that golf was and is the center of its universe, with 36 of the most storied links you'll find in the Capitol area – or anywhere else for that matter. Congressional's Blue Course has received the most notoriety, having hosted two United States Opens, a Senior US Open, and a PGA Championship. A notoriously difficult course, Congressional hosted the US Open in 1997 becoming the longest course in Open history (at that time). In a dramatic finish, Ernie Els defeated Colin Montgomerie by one stroke. This timeless panoramic of this timeless course would look great on in any golfer's den or office.

Just when it seemed like no one could handle the monster known as Oakland Hills, Steve Jones, a player out of the game just two years before, mastered its brutal finishing hole to win the the 1996 U.S. Open. However, this remarkably difficult course, particularly the fearsome five final holes, was the real winner of this Open as as only two players managed to shoot below par (-2 for Jones, -1 for Davis Love III). Located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, the undulating terrain of the Oakland Hills Country Club will be the site of many more prestigious tournaments in the years to come, including the 2004 Ryder Cup.

The San Francisco Olympic Club is the oldest athletic Club in the United States. It was founded on May 6, 1860 in a firehouse downtown in the still-new city by 23 young men whose number included artists, writers, lawyers, businessmen, working men, firemen, miners, immigrants and adventurers. At its gorgeous Lakeside country Club overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Club today boasts of two of the finest golf courses in the United States. In fact, the premier Lakeside course has been the site of four U.S. Open championships---in 1955, 1966, 1987 and 1998. This gorgeous aerial panoramic of the Olympic Club and Pacific Ocean was taken during the 1998 US Open, where Lee Janzen stormed back to narrowly defeat Payne Stewart in the Final Round.

Over the years, Pebble Beach Golf Links has inspired some of golf's most memorable moments. Perhaps it is its stunning location; perhaps its famously challenging reputation. Whatever the reason, Pebble Beach is considered one of the worlds' great golf courses. The U.S. Open Championship has been played at Pebble Beach four times, most recently in the year 2000 for its 100th playing. While not a panoramic, this stunning 26"w x 23"h (framed) aerial photograph of Pebble Beach, Carmel Bay and the Pacific Ocean is framed in mahogany and hand-signed by the photographer. This is one of the few officially commissioned photographs of this world-famous course.

Shinnecock Hills is among America's most exclusive clubs, with about 350 members drawn from old money families that summer in the Hamptons. With few trees and only two miles from the ocean, Shinnecock is one of the very few true US linksland courses. Shinnecock Hills played at 6,944 yards for the 1995 Open when Cory Pavin won with even-par 280 for the 72 holes, two shots better than Greg Norman. For the 2004 US Open, this magnificent course is being extended to at least 7,000 yards to ensure it remains a severe test for power hitters like Tiger Woods.
