Sharks Captain Delights the Crowd at Our Los Gatos
Store!
 On
October 1st, 2006, San Jose Sharks Captain Patrick
Marleau made a great in-store appearance at
Sports
Gallery Los Gatos.
Born in Aneroid, Saskatchewan,
Center Patrick Marleau was the San Jose Sharks 1st
pick in the 1997 NHL Draft and the 2nd pick overall.
A gifted forward, Marleau is an excellent passer
and finisher. In 2003/2004, Patrick became an All-Star
representing the Sharks in the NHL All-Star Game.
Captain and leading scorer for the Sharks in 2004,
Marleau has emerged as one of the bright young stars
of the NHL. In fact he was named to Canada's 2004
World Cup team, an incredible honor for the then
24-year old! And this
season, Marleau is teamed with Joe Thornton, giving
the Sharks the best one-two Center punch in the
League.
Signing
for over two hours, Patty was an terrific guest,
graciously posing for pictures and signing Sharks
and Team Canada memorabilia. One of our best attended
signings ever, it was a great way to kick off the
Sharks season!
Congratulations
to Dan Pritchford of Mountain View, CA who
won our raffle for an authentic San Jose Sharks
puck hand-signed by Patrick. Dan's winning ticket
was chosen by Patrick himself after the signing.
