OF/DH
Dante Bichette has played on a number of teams in his lengthy major
league career. His best years, however, came with the Colorado Rockies
where he was one of the premier sluggers in the league for a number
of years. In fact, Dante hit the first home in Rockies' franchise
history in 1992 at Shea Stadium off of the Met's Bret Saberhagen.
In 1995, Bichette topped the NL in RBI's (128) and finished third
in the league with a .340 batting average. To the disappointment
of Rockies fans, Bichette fell just short of Cincinnati's Barry
Larkin in the MVP voting. Problems with an ailing left knee slowed
Bichette in 1996, but he still was a force to be reckoned with at
the plate, socking 31 homers with a .316 average and 141 RBI. In
1999 Bichette slugged 34 homers and drove in 133 runs with a .298
batting average. Unbelievably, it marked the first time in his Rockies
career he'd hit below .300!

Gil
Heredia Baseball |
$89.95
Now
$44.97! |
A
journeyman pitcher for most of his career, Heredia blossomed into
a reliable starter when he posted 13 wins for the Oakland A's in
1999. His breakthrough season was aided by a June tutoring session
with A's great Catfish Hunter who told Heredia to simply throw strikes
and have fun. Although he turned 34 that October, Heredia set a
new personal best in 2000 with 15 victories, eleven on the road
and was an integral part of the A's AL West Championship season.
Because his fastball topped out in the 80 MPH range, Heredia never
overpowered batters. Instead, he relied on a wide variety of pitches
to keep them off balance, prompting teammates to dub him "Doctor
Gil". This Arizona alum also pitched for the Montreal Expos,
San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, and Chicago White Sox.

the Astros a 21 lead in games in the NLCS. He hit yet another

homer in the 8th against the Braves to boost the Yanks to the
1999 World Championship. Move over Reggie,

Mickey
Mantle Classic Photograph Series
World Series Homerun Record |
|
$39.95
|
|
This
unsigned 8x10 photograph was taken during NY Yankees right fielder
Mickey Mantle's
18th home run in a World Series game, the record for most career
home runs in World Series history. A game-winning ninth inning
blast, legend has it Mickey told Elston Howard, the next batter,
that he might as well go on into the clubhouse and get dressed
because he was going to hit Schultz' first pitch for a home run.
Moments later that's exactly what he did, winning the game and
breaking the record. This vintage photograph of Mickey's "called
shot" comes framed with black and white double matting and
an engraved title plate.

Mark
McGwire Plaque
62nd HR Commemorative |
| $49.95 |
Despite
being an 11-time All-Star, St. Louis Cardinals 1B Mark McGwire's
most memorable accomplishment came in 1998. That year he set the

until the final days of the season for the title. This commemorative
plaque celebrates his record-breaking 62nd Homerun on September
8, 1998 that broke Roger Maris long-standing record for most HRs
hit in a season (61 in '61). This terrific 16"w x 13"h
unsigned collectible includes a photo of that great baseball moment,
an Upper Deck baseball card from '98, and a brass nameplate describing
this historic moment. A great gift for any fan of "Big Mac."

Jeff
Friesen |
$79.95
Web
Special $49.95!
|
NJ
Devils Forward Jeff Friesen came up huge in the Devils' 2003 Stanley
Cup run. After scoring three of New Jersey's four game-winning goals
in the Eastern Conference finals, Friesen broke the ice with a second-period
tally to spark the Devils to a 3-0 victory over the Mighty Ducks
in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. And in Game 7 he did even better,
scoring two goals to lead the Devils to victory and bring Lord Stanley's
Cup back to New Jersey. It just doesn't get any better for a goal-scorer
like Friesen. This former Shark and Duck hand-signed this official
NHL puck.
