LICENSED PHOTO NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM MLB. 11x14 SOLD OUT. LIMITED NUMBER OF 16x20 REMAINING. "God, I hope I wear this jersey forever." Yes, Derek is a New York Classic as evidenced by this memorable quote that is featured in this display. The NY Yankees Shortstop played on FIVE World Series Championship Teams.  He finished his career with a .310 batting average, 14x All-Star, 5x Gold Glove, 5x Silver Slugger, AL Rookie of the Year, 3000 Hit Club and as the Yankees Captain, an honor he held from 2003 until his retirement. Jeter also is the holder of the Yankees Career Hits Record (3,465!). Derek completed a rare "double" of sorts in 2000 when he was named MVP of the All-Star Game as well as the World Series. And he finished his career with a game-winning, walk-off single at his last game at Yankee Stadium and single in his last career at-bat (ironically at Fenway Park).  Perfect.  Away from the field, few players are as popular as Derek. He's been called the "Prince of the City," with his good looks and easy demeanor. If the Yankees could have retired his number while he was still playing they probably would have! But they won't have to wait long as Derek retired to much fanfare and adulation after the 2014 season. To commemorate this very special player we have created several Sports Gallery Exclusive Displays.  Part of our unsigned SGA Signature Series, these are totally unique displays that include great athlete action shots, in this case a terrific 16x20 or 11x14 photograph of Derek “Turning Two,”  with an SG facsimile laser-engraved signature plate. The plate also includes his nickname "The Captain,"  Derrick's dates as a Yankee and his famous "God, I hope I wear this jersey forever." quote.  Quality Framed, this beauty is a terrific piece of Yankee Sports Art and the perfect gift for any fan of the Bronx Bombers!
