ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE

ONE REMAINING IN STOCK! "Looking...throwing in the end zone... Clark caught it!...Dwight Clark! " Such is Vin Scully's Memorable Call of "The Catch," one of the most famous moments in football history. Born in Kinston, North Carolina, Pro Bowl wide receiver Dwight Clark played his college football at Clemson University before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 10th round of the 1979 Draft. Clark embarked on a great career with the Niners, finishing with 506 catches, 6750 yards, 48 touchdowns and 2 Super Bowl Rings. But by far Clark's most memorable touchdown and football moment came in the 1982 NFC Playoffs. On January 10, 1982, against the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers were trailing 27-21 in the final minute of play to advance to the Super Bowl. Clark made a leaping catch of a desperation pass from quarterback Joe Montana in the back of the end zone to give the 49ers a 28-27 victory. That great sports moment has been immortalized by the Niner Faithful as "The Catch" and is a big reason Clark's number 87 was retired by the 49ers. And thanks to Sports Gallery's great relationship with Dwight we're able to offer this unique Niner collectible. The 8x10 color reproduction of a back-of-the-endzone photo of Dwight's grab is hand signed by Clark. Then we went to work creating an AMAZING, Sports Gallery Exclusive Display. First, the display is SGA Quality Framed with wood moulding, U-V protective glass, Niners red matting w/ gold trim, and SGA Exclusive "The Catch" plate with Vin Scully's famous call of the play (OR YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN PLATE!). But that's not all! The Display also includes a replica ticket from the game AND a laser-engraved Deluxe White Plate of the Play Diagram that set up The Catch. The plate even includes the scoreboard down, score and time remaining at the snap. WOW! All of this 49er goodness in one very cool 15 3/4"h x 21 1/4"w display. A Must-Have for any Niner fan!
