ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Steeler RB Franco Harris, a native of Fort Dix, New Jersey, is arguably the greatest running back in Pittsburgh Steelers history. Franco attended Penn State University, where he served primarily as a blocker for All-American RB Lydell Mitchell (though he amassed 1,359 yards rushing in the process ). In his first season with the Steelers (1972), Harris was named the league's Rookie of the Year by both The Sporting News and United Press International. And in his 13 professional seasons, Harris gained 12,120 yards and scored 91 rushing touchdowns. Hardly a blocking back... Chosen to 9 consecutive Pro Bowls (from 1972 through 1980), Harris was part of four Super Bowl Championship Teams and was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl IX. AND he made the "Immaculate Reception," one of professional football's most famous plays that will always be part of Steeler Football Lore. This great close-up b&w photo of Franco "Smashing Through The Snow" is part of our Exclusive SG Signature Series, unsigned displays that include an Exclusive facsimile signature plate. In this case we've combined this awesome 11x14 photo with Franco's signature. along with his Super Bowl Championships. Quality Framed, this beauty is a terrific piece of Sports Art than any Steelers fan would cherish.
