ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Muhammad Ali IS boxing. He was the first boxer to win the world heavyweight boxing championship title three different times. After winning a gold medal as a light heavyweight at the 1960 Olympic Games, he turned professional. In 1964 he made good his claim of being "The Greatest"; after only 20 professional fights he became World Heavyweight Champion. And people throughout the World absolutely LOVED him...arguably the most popular American athlete ever! Perhaps the most famous images of arguably the most famous athlete in sports history are photos of a menacing Ali standing over a knocked out Sonny Liston - a first round, first minute knockout! - in their 1965 bout for the Heavyweight crown. Often selected as the best photographs in Sports History, we've used it to create a one-of-a-kind display. This Sports Gallery Exclusive Display features a Color 16x20 shot of the moment and then we went to work creating a bold "ALI" mat cut across the upper part of the photograph. Part of our SGA Impact Series (high impact presentations for high impact athletes), this beauty definitely packs a punch (so to speak). Quality Framed with wood moulding, glass and classic white beveled matting, this unique Sports Art is the perfect gift for any Ali fan.
