ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
After LA Dodger Sandy Koufax finally tamed his blazing fastball, he enjoyed a five-year stretch as perhaps the most dominating pitcher in the game's history. He won 25 games three times, won five straight ERA titles, and set a new standard with 382 strikeouts in 1965. His fastball and devastating curve enabled him to pitch no-hitters in four consecutive seasons, culminating with a perfect game in 1965 against the Cubs. Sandy posted a 0.95 ERA in four career World Series, helping the Dodgers to three championships. He also won 3 NL Cy Young Awards! Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972, this classic photograph of Sandy pitching no-hitter #1 in Dodger Stadium is part of our Exclusive SGA Signature Series, unsigned displays that include an SGA facsimile signature plate. In this case we've combined a 16x20 or 11x14 of this vintage photo with a plate that features Sandy's elegant signature, along with "First of Four No-Hitters," along with date and stadium, to create a timeless piece of Sports Art from a very special player in Dodgers...and baseball...history. Please note that action photos from this period often have the vintage blurred look of bygone days of sports photography. All of which adds to the classic feel of this great piece of Sports Art and make this a stunning piece that is sure to get a big reaction. The perfect gift for any Sports Fan!
