ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper is on a mission to “Make Baseball Fun Again.” And he’s doing a pretty darn good job of it. The Las Vegas native was drafted #1 by the Washington Nationals in the 2010 MLB draft after winning the Golden Spikes Award at the College of Southern Nevada. He made his MLB debut with the Nationals on April 28, 2012, was selected for the All-Star Game, and won the NL Rookie of the Year Award in his first season. Not a bad start to a baseball career. Harper has gone on to multiple All-Star Selections, Silver Slugger and Hank Aaron Awards, NL HR leader, and NL MVP honors. Although he’s been good just about every year he’s been in the Majors, 2015 was really the year that he blew away the field as arguably the best player in baseball today. Measured by adjusted OPS (OPS+) Harper's 2015 was the best season of any hitter since Barry Bonds a decade earlier. With his MVP win that season, Harper became the youngest player to unanimously to win the MVP at age 23. And he’s making baseball fun again. First Harper’s comments to ESPN the Magazine about infusing his sport with joy sparked national headlines. Then Harper sported a “Make Baseball Fun Again” hat in interviews after Opening Day, creating an even greater stir. Through it all one thing is for sure, Bryce Harper is a baseball superstar that likes to create a buzz. And that buzz should just continue to get louder in the coming years. This great 16x20 or 11x14 Photograph of Bryce at the plate doing what he does best is part of our unsigned SGA Signature Series, a very cool display that includes an SGA Exclusive engraved facsimile Bryce Harper signature Inset Plate, along with "Make Baseball Fun Again." A wonderful piece of Sports Art celebrating a player many consider to be the best in the game today.
