ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Born in Kinston, North Carolina, Pro Bowl wide receiver Dwight Clark played his college football at Clemson University before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 10th round of the 1979 Draft. Clark embarked on a great career with the Niners, finishing with 506 catches for 6750 yards and 48 touchdowns. Clark's most memorable touchdown came in the 1981 NFC Playoffs. On January 10, 1982, against the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers were trailing 27-21 in the final minute of play to advance to the Super Bowl. Clark made a leaping catch of a desperation pass from quarterback Joe Montana in the back of the end zone to give the 49ers a 28-27 victory. That play is one of the most famous in NFL history. Thanks to our great relationship with Dwight, we have this great hand-signed official 49ers mini-helmet to offer to the public, along with Dwight's special "The Catch 1.10.82" inscription. It is available with customized case highlighting details of "The Catch," voted the #1 Moment in Candlestick Park History. The case includes wood base, mirrored bottom and UV-protective glass. Few memories and moments represent 49ers history better than "The Catch" making this beauty the perfect collectible (and gift) for any 49ers Faithful.
