ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Patrick Willis was an absolute beast on defense for the San Francisco 49ers. The Linebacker out of Mississippi was the 11th overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft and pretty much dominated his position from Day 1. At Mississippi, Patrick was awarded SEC Defensive Player of the Year, first team All-SEC, consensus first-team All-American, and was the winner of the prestigious Dick Butkus Award, given to the most outstanding linebacker in college football. And Patrick kept it going in the Pros. In his first NFL game, Willis recorded 11 tackles, including 9 solo, and a forced fumble as the 49ers defeated the Arizona Cardinals. Willis finished the 2007 campaign with an NFL-leading 174 total tackles, being selected to the Pro Bowl, along with NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, and First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. Patrick was the only rookie in the NFL to make the AP All-Pro squad and the first Defensive Rookie from the 49ers to make the Pro Bowl since Ronnie Lott in 1981. Said ex-49ers coach Mike Singletary referring to Ray Lewis and Patrick Willis: "I've coached two of the greatest linebackers." Hard to argue that given Patrick's 7 Pro-Bowl and 6 All-Pro Selections during his short NFL career. Check out this awesome 16x20 and 11x14 photograph of P-Will, a pre-game shot taken before the Niners unforgettable playoff win over the Saints. This unsigned display is part of our exclusive SGA Signature Series, facsimile signatures engraved on an inset plate. In addition to Willis' unique autograph, the plate includes "2007-2014" (Patrick's years with the Niners) and "Greatest Linebacker in 49ers History." Patrick may be be gone after his sudden retirement from football, but he is definitely not forgotten. Remember one of the best to wear a Niners jersey with this very cool display!
