ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
We all know Tiger's story...both good and bad. The son of a African-American father and a Thai mother, he was a college star at Stanford and became the only 3x (1994–96) U.S. Amateur Champion before turning professional in 1997. And in his first season, he won the 1997 Masters in a runaway. Tiger won the PGA Championship and simply dominated golf in 1999. In 2000, Woods won the U.S. and British opens and PGA Championship, setting or tying several records in the process and becoming the youngest golfer to achieve a modern career Grand Slam. Woods's victory at the Masters in 2001 made him the first golfer to win all four major professional championships in a row. But as we all know, personal troubles took over and Tiger hit the first major slump of his career shortly thereafter. Until 2019 that is, when Tiger claimed his 5th Masters Title and 15th Major Championship in glorious fashion. Love him or hate him, there is no denying that a golf tournament is always more interesting when Tiger is in contention. This great 8x10 photograph is from his historic 2000 US Open victory at Pebble Beach. It was the 100th Open and Tiger won by a Major record-breaking 15 strokes. It was the start of his "Tiger Slam," Woods' most dominating year of Golf. This beauty is part of our unsigned SGA Signature Series, unsigned displays that include an SGA facsimile signature plate. In this case we've combined this classic photo with Tiger's elegant signature, along with a description of his 2000 US Open dominance. Sports Gallery Quality Framed, this is a timeless piece of Sports Art from one of Golf's...and Sports'...All-Time Greats.
