(SEE IMAGE ABOVE) *** Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra played almost his entire 19-year baseball career (1946–1963) for the New York Yankees. One of only four players to be named the American League MVP three times and one of only six managers to lead both American and National League teams to the World Series, Yogi was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. Widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history, Berra is easily one of the most popular Yankees of All-Time. And he is part of one unforgettable moment, fortunately captured on film. This historic on-field meeting and photograph of Yogi and The Babe is a classic. It happened in 1947 when a then-rookie Yogi Berra met the great Sultan of Swat before the game, Passing the Torch of Yankee Greatness from one Yankee Legend to another. Sports Gallery offers this great moment as part of our unsigned SGA Signature Series, an affordable alternative to expensive athlete signatures (VERY expensive in the case of Babe Ruth!). This 16x20 or 11x14 photograph is Quality Framed and includes an SGA Exclusive inset plate that includes laser-engraved facsimiles of BOTH Yogi and Babe's unique signatures along with "PASSING THE TORCH OF YANKEE GREATNESS" and the year. A timeless piece of Sports Art celebrating two of the greatest players from arguably the greatest franchise in Sports History.
