ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Is Tupac the greatest rapper of all-time? Many would argue such. But no one can argue his tremendous impact on this music genre in a sadly shortened life. A symbol of resistance and activism against inequality, Tupac was born Lesane Parish Crooks in Harlem, NY. He moved to the SF Bay Area as a teen before settling in Los Angeles in 1993. He became a central figure in the West Coast rap/hip-hop movement, placing him at the forefront of the East Coast/West Coast rap rivalry. Killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996, Shakur is one of the best-selling music artists of all time having sold over 75 million records worldwide. In 2010, Shakur was inducted to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. And In 2017, Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Just an iconic artist, this very cool b&w art poster display is a fitting tribute. Part of our very cool (and popular!) unsigned SG Signature Series, this display includes an engraved facsimile 2Pac signature plate, along with “Tupac Shakur" and his years of life on a background that includes lyrics from his hit "California Love". Measuring approximately 17" w x 23 1/2” h (framed) and Sports Gallery Quality Framed with wood moulding, glass and deluxe v-groove matting, this "Music Art" is a terrific tribute to a timeless performer and the perfect display (and gift!) for any fan of rap music!
