ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
Do you believe in miracles? They called it a miracle and, for once, it really was - not the typical sports hyperbole. The U.S. Olympic hockey team, thrashed by the Russians 10-3 in an exhibition game days before the 1980 Games began, somehow found a way to beat powerhouse Russia, and then Finland, to win the most unlikely gold medal in US Olympic history. Players included: Mike Eruzione, Jim Craig, Steve Christoff, Neal Broten, Mark Pavelich, Dave Silk, Mark Johnson, Phil Verchota, William "Buzz" Schneider, Mike Ramsey, Eric Strobel, Dave Christian, John Harrington, Jack O'Callahan, Bill Baker, Ken Morrow, Bob Suter, Mark Wells, Rob McLanahan and Steve Janaszak. The coach, of course, was the now deceased Herb Brooks. Remember one of the greatest sports moments in the 20th century, and arguably the greatest US sports moment ever, with this timeless, and rare (shot has vintage blurred look common in historic sports photographs), 16x20 photograph of the team's victory celebration after their win over Russia. Our SGA Impact Series is a Sports Gallery Exclusive display that features high-impact athletes in high-impact framings. Available with 16x20 photographs, the presentation includes double matting with cut-out feature, in this case "USA" (what else?). Sports Gallery Quality Framed with wood moulding, glass and classic USA matting, this is a great piece of Sports Art commemorating a great...great...sports moment.
