ABOUT THIS COLLECTIBLE
2 Packer...and Football...Greats together for 1 Special Price! Vincent Thomas "Vince" Lombardi is considered by many to be one of the best and most successful coaches in NFL history. Hard to argue with that considering that the League's Super Bowl Trophy is named in his honor. Lombardi is best known as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers during the 1960s, where he led the team to three straight and five total league championships in seven years, including winning the first two Super Bowls (I & II). The 1967 NFL Championship game between the Packers and Dallas Cowboys, played at Lambeau Field on December 31, had a game-time temperature of 15 degrees below zero, -48 with wind chill! The game was a thriller, often recognized as one of the greatest of all-time. With sixteen seconds remaining, the Packers were two feet away from victory. After consulting with Packers coach Vince Lombardi, Starr took the snap from center Ken Bowman, and Bowman and guard Jerry Kramer combined to take out Dallas tackle Jethro Pugh. With Pugh out of the way, Starr surprised everyone and dove over for the winning score. These timeless Packer figures and moments (Vince's photo is after the Packers victory in Super Bowl II) are part of our Exclusive SGA Signature Series, unsigned displays that include an SGA facsimile signature plate. In this case we've matched classic 16x20 or 11x14 photographs of Lombardi and Starr with each's signatures making two great pieces of Sports Art any Packer Fan would cherish! GO PACK GO!!
